I discovered this when passing through the area on my way to a holiday in Scotland in 1998. I couldn't stop to take a photo of it, but when I came up the following year I made a point of stopping off to get an image. It's visible from the minor road on the way out of Dunford Bridge, but is some way off it on private land. Note: the photo was taken with the land owner's permission.

From simon evans at 2006-01-15 20:36:28 : excellent pictures,unfortunately,living in south wales,never got to do the route,closest i got was looking easbound at hadfield station in the early 70's and seeing the line dissappear towards woodhead and doing wath yard in roughly the same year,big mistake knocking down sheff vic,but no foresight at the time,as usual. once again,great pics!!!!!!!!!!!
From Rob's Photo Pages at 2006-01-17 17:44:44 : It's visible from the minor road between Dunford Bridge and the A628, but requires you to access private land to view it in close up. Whether it's still there or not is something I don't know - I haven't been through the area since. I don't actually know how long it had been there before I took the image, but I don't recall having seen it during my photographic trips along the route in 1986.
