I paid another visit to the area, with my camera, during Summer 1999.  This is - or rather was - Torside crossing, looking towards Hadfield.  It's really hard to believe there was a railway there at all!

From luke clay at 2006-10-11 13:47:26 : the woodhead route was heritage it should have been saved not closed and there should be a preserved line where the 1500v dc locos can run once more:):):)
